As an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), we specialise in business-to-business relationships, supplying our innovative products to OEMs and distributors. We provide flexible solutions by offering cabinets and modules that can be assembled into a diverse range of chargers, allowing our partners to minimise model varieties while maximising product versatility. Our systems are designed for late-point definition, ensuring that our products can be customised to meet a variety of specific end-use applications. In addition, we have a dedicated technical support team that works closely with distributors, providing the necessary training and assistance to ensure smooth operation and successful support for their end users. Combined with dedicated support, our products are conceptualised, designed and manufactured all from our Christchurch facility.

We are a global leader in the design and manufacture of high frequency, modular battery chargers for material handling equipment, ground support equipment, automated guided vehicles, and other off-highway vehicles.

Our chargers have been designed especially for charging large lead acid and lithium-ion batteries. Our products are engineered and produced locally, with distribution hubs in the United States and the United Kingdom.

About the opportunity

We’re seeking a passionate Data Scientist to shape the future of our IoT analytics platform! In this role, you’ll work on transforming raw data from IoT devices—like chargers and batteries—into actionable insights through advanced analytics and machine learning. You’ll design data pipelines, identify key metrics, and create intuitive dashboards that empower our customers to make smarter, data-driven decisions.

About you

We are seeking a capable and enthusiastic Data Scientist with a strong background in statistical analysis and machine learning to develop data-driven insights. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data, innovation and problem-solving, ready to transform complex datasets into actionable strategies. We are also looking for someone who has:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications in Data Science, Machine Learning, or related areas are a plus.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python (preferred), R, or Julia, with a strong understanding of their applications in data analysis and machine learning.
  • Hands-on experience with data manipulation tools like Pandas, NumPy, and data visualization libraries including Matplotlib or Plotly. Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as Scikit-learn or TensorFlow.
  • Solid experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as cloud platforms like Azure (preferred) or AWS. Experience with IoT data or creating interactive dashboards using Power BI or Tableau is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a proven track record of working effectively in team environments.

About the opportunity

As Supply Chain Manager, reporting to the Director of Operations, you will drive initiatives to improve stock accuracy, optimal inventory level and reducing slow moving and obsolete inventory.  Along with developing and maintaining good relationships with vendors and distributors, you will:

  • Determine key Supply Chain KPIs, aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Working closely with Procurement team to ensure data accuracy and optimal ERP system set up for smooth operations
  • Negotiating contracts, costs and terms with suppliers and freight forwarders
  • Ensure raw material supply to production is on time, aiming for zero downtime
  • Communicate with suppliers, expedite material supply when required.
  • Analyse data and information to remove waste from the system and processes
  • Implement new or improved supply chain processes
  • Drive our cycle counting processes and ensure best practise and accuracy
  • Support NPI projects, provide information related to material supply and recommend strategy for an effective and resilient supply chain

 About you

We are looking for a highly experienced procurement leader who brings expertise, creativity, and determination to solve complex problems and drive business success. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an international procurement setting, with a proven track record of success.
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience managing and mentoring procurement teams to drive performance and results.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and ERP systems, with strong technical skills to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and contract management expertise, able to navigate complex discussions and secure optimal outcomes.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to develop creative, practical solutions to challenging procurement issues.
  • In-depth knowledge of inventory management systems and their integration within procurement processes.
  • Solid understanding of supplier terms and conditions, ensuring compliance and fostering mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, able to identify trends and patterns in data that others may miss, ensuring accuracy and informed decision-making.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented, with a relentless focus on identifying and resolving root causes of problems to drive continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to exceed performance targets and deliver outstanding results in previous roles, demonstrating a commitment to excellence.
